This policy covers fogcitysfknobandtube.com, run by Fog City SF Knob and Tube. It says what happens to the details you send us and what the site does in your browser.
What a form sends
An estimate or quote request sends:
- your first and last name, phone number and email address
- your ZIP code and your city or neighborhood
- the service you pick and anything you write in the message box
- the page the form was on and which form it was
- a broad category for how you reached the site, such as "Google Organic", "Referral" or "Direct", worked out from the link you followed. Search terms are not collected.
Each form also has a hidden field that people never fill in. It exists only to catch automated spam.
Where it goes
The form posts to a Cloudflare Pages Function on this site, which passes your request to the customer relationship system Fog City SF Knob and Tube uses to keep track of requests. Your browser sends it nowhere else.
Your details are used to answer you, arrange a walk-through and a written price, and carry out work you ask for. Fog City SF Knob and Tube manages each job; the electrical work is carried out by licensed and insured electrical contractors. Your request is therefore shared with the contractor who would do the work.
Spam protection
When you start filling in a form, the site loads Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a script, is sending it. Turnstile processes information about your browser and connection for that check, as described in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and measures how fast pages load. It uses no cookies and does not track you across other sites. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
What stays in your browser
The traffic category is kept in your browser's session storage while the tab is open, so a form you send later in the same visit carries it. It is cleared when the tab closes. The site sets no cookies of its own.
Calls and email
If you call or write, Fog City SF Knob and Tube receives your number or address and what you tell us, and uses them the same way as a form request.
Your requests
To see, correct or delete what is held about you, email office@fogcitysfknobandtube.com from the address you used, or tell us the phone number you called from.
Other sites
Links to agencies such as the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection or the Contractors State License Board lead to sites with their own privacy policies.
Changes
When this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
